In many warehouses, the system and the shelf tell two different stories. Stock is moved but not recorded. Receipts are keyed in at the end of the day. Pickers walk back to a desk to check what’s next. By the time Epicor Kinetic is updated, the information is already out of date.
The result is familiar: production waits for parts that the system says are in stock, dispatch chases orders, and customer service can’t give customers a straight answer.
Mobile scanning closes that gap.
Bringing Epicor Kinetic to the warehouse floor
Epicor Kinetic Warehouse (EKW) puts Epicor Kinetic in your team’s hands. Warehouse and shop floor staff scan as they work, and every receipt, move, pick and shipment updates Epicor Kinetic in real time.
Because EKW is embedded in Epicor Kinetic, there’s no separate warehouse database to keep in sync. Everyone, from purchasing to customer service, sees the same live stock position.
What changes day to day
Receiving. Inbound purchase orders, transfers and containers are scanned on arrival, including serial and lot-tracked parts. Stock is available as soon as it’s received, not when the paperwork is processed.
Moving and counting stock. Bin moves, adjustments and cycle counts are recorded on the spot. Cycle counts can run during the working day, without shutting down for a stocktake.
Working from a queue. Instead of paper pick lists, the team works from a live material queue, sorted and filtered for what needs doing next.
Issuing materials to jobs. Materials are scanned against the job they’re used on, so job costs and stock levels stay accurate.
Picking, packing and shipping. Orders are picked, packed and shipped from the device, with scan validation at part, lot, bin and pack level to catch errors before they leave the building.
Built around your barcodes and processes
Every warehouse is different. EKW can be configured at company, site, team or user level, works with your existing barcodes, and supports barcoded multiple units of measure. Settings can be adjusted as your processes change.
Better data, better decisions
When every movement is recorded as it happens, the benefits reach well beyond the warehouse. Planners can trust the stock figures that MRP relies on. Production gets the right materials at the right time. Finance sees accurate inventory values. And customer service can tell a customer where their order is.
